North Coast Getaway

Sometimes in life were all so caught up in completing a million things at once we forget to take time for ourselves and spend it with our loved ones, and last weekend that is exactly what I did. My boyfriend (Yes boyfriend, a lot has happened on my blogging break!)  and I went away for the weekend to celebrate his birthday which was this week, and to just take time to relax.

So we headed on the train to Portrush which is a little beach side town in Northern Ireland. Thankfully we had a dry day and headed straight to the arcades being the big kids that we are, lots of tickets later and some cute teddies where won! As the sun was trying to break out we headed to the beach and got some lunch with a gorgeous view.

Later that day we headed to the famous amusement park, Barry's and enjoyed rides and games there. This brought back a lot of childhood memories, as I use to go every year as children, and sometimes we still take family day trips here when there is good weather or it is the Easter Holidays.

Then that was the end of our adventure in Portrush as we headed to our hotel in Portstewart, the Cromore Halt. This place was gorgeous, beautiful scenery along with peace and quiet - just what was needed. I loved how welcoming and helpful the staff where and it made our stay here all the better!

On our final day the sun was out, and we set off to one of Northern Ireland's biggest attractions, The Giant's Causeway. This was a main factor in our trip as neither of us, living here our whole lives have seen this attraction, and it is especially bad for me to say that being a student studying tourism! *monkey covering eyes emoiji* When we arrived we spent time in the visitor centre, finding out more of the history if the landmark, truthfully we were both being dorks!

After that we set of on the adventure around the causeway taking in the breathtaking scenery, the sounds of many nationalities discussing the beauty and enjoying the history of the legend that is Finn McCool something we learnt in primary school.

It really is a beautiful place to explore, and it's right on my doorstep, so I can't believe it took me this long to visit. It was a perfect way to end our get away, and I definitely would recommend it to anyone.

So that was our little getaway and it was so nice to get away and spend some quality time together where we were barely on our phones or distracted by work and university. In a world where everything is about being connected and aware of everything on social media at all times, it's nice to just breathe, and take in the simpler things in life. It was sad to leave our little serenity place, but we had to get back to reality, and if anything we're counting down the days till our next trip!

5 Seconds of Summer Concert [25/4/16] | Music Week

I am a massive 5 Seconds of Summer Fan and this is the day that I get to go see them for the third time! One of my good friends Katy and I always go see these guys in concert and it's always a cert for a good night, and this concert in Belfast was even more amazing than before! One of the best concerts I've been too in my life, plus Luke Hemming's sexy ass and voice is just a bonus :P Here are some videos and pictures from the night!

So yeah that was our night, it was amazing and for anyone who still has the concert to see then you have an amazing show to look forward too! Let me know if  you've seen the boys on tour and what your favourite 5SOS song is!

May Birchbox

I feel like its been ages since I've posted a Birchbox haul, so I thought it was just right I shared my May box with you all! The box this month is gorgeous, and was a little scratchcard game, as we got to check and see if we won a Holiday prize, which I didn't :( but still beautiful box! Plus the little bag that the products are kept in is so cute, as there is a little saying on it this time!

Spectrum Collections - Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge

So this month there was an email sent out to choose which colour of this beauty blender we wanted (Which I actually forgot to choose) so I knew that this was one of my beauty goodies! I love Spectrum, and I'm slowly building up a collection of their brushes, so this is a great addition, can't wait to start using it!

TheBalm Cosmetics - Stainiac Beauty Queen

Many of you will know I'm obsessed with TheBalm cosmetics so I was uber excited to receive this as I've heard a lot of great reviews, plus this is the perfect beauty product for travelling as it does two jobs, and is the perfect travel size. The colour is really nice on my cheeks, and I find it hard to find a good blush shade so this is really good for me.

Beaver Professionals - Hydro Nutritive Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner

I also think these are perfect for taking away on holiday as they are smaller and can be taken as hand luggage, which I'm doing for a lot of my citybreaks. Plus I've heard good reviews about this brand.

Vasanti - Brighten Up Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

Upon hearing the name of this product straight away I wanted to test it out, as it sounds really good and there has been lots of good reviews on this. Plus I've gotten really into skincare at the moment (expect a blogpost soon) so trying out any good products is really enjoyable as I'm looking for what works best with my skin.

Puriskin - Resurfacing Formula

Continuing on with the theme of skincare I was excited when this little beauty was in my box, I have actually been planning on buying this when I get paid, so having this for me to try out is perfect! You can also use this as TLC on your body as well as your face.

Vita Coco - Coconut Oil

My beauty bonus this month was this little gem, I love Vita Coco products and I've actually used this before. It is another product that does more than one thing which is perfect for holidays, where I will most likely take this and use it as a  dry hair mask!

So that is my May Birchbox, I really loved everything that is in it this month, and I think it's the first time in ages where I will be using all the products because I'm excited for them all.
